This isn't a hatchet you found in your grandpa's shed. The Rapid Axe is an engineered tool for the serious hunter who demands more. We designed it as a dual-threat powerhouse: a brutal camp tool and a surprisingly nimble instrument for big game field processing.

Forged from a massive 1/4" D2 tool steel, its hefty 3 3/4" blade carries enough weight to split a sternum or pelvis. The geometry gives you the agility for finer work like quartering, caping, fleshing hides, and boning out meat. It’s the one tool that can break down an entire animal.

Back at camp, it makes a mockery of kindling and shelter prep. The contoured Micarta handle provides a positive, non-slip grip whether your hands are wet, bloody, or cold. And because no tool works alone, we integrated a 40° knife sharpener right into the handle, ensuring your entire cutting system stays razor-sharp in the backcountry.

Precision-molded from premium Kydex for relentless backcountry abuse. This sheath is waterproof, ultralight, and shrugs off extreme temps. A single-direction locking mechanism secures the blade with a confident snap, ensuring zero accidental release while enabling a positive, one-handed draw. Mounts in seconds to any belt for uncompromising hip carry.

Leather Sheath:
Handcrafted from thick, premium saddle-grade leather for timeless toughness. This sheath isn't just built; it's born from tradition. It molds to your gear, gaining character with every hunt while offering unmatched comfort. A heavy-duty button snap provides a positive lock on the blade, and the robust belt loop ensures a classic, dependable carry.

DETAILS IN THE GRIP

The Rapid Axe's G10 Micarta handle combines the best of both G10 and Micarta, offering exceptional durability, moisture resistance, and a reliable grip for rugged use. This composite material, made from layered fiberglass or fabric soaked in resin, is lightweight yet incredibly tough, resisting impacts, chemicals, and environmental wear while providing a natural, slightly grippy texture that enhances control, especially in wet conditions. The handle is interchangeable, allowing users to swap it out for customization or repair, and comes in three distinct colors—Hunters Orange, Coyote Tan, and OD Green—for style and visibility preferences. Secured with Corby rivets, the handle ensures a robust, stable connection to the axe head, enhancing safety and longevity during heavy-duty tasks.

This thing is a great tool

This thing is a great tool, for kindling wood to keeping knives sharp. The belt clip works good for belts and clipping on back pack ready for adventure.

I have two Wood handle ready axes work great.For many years.
I will be getting this new model with some great improvements.
I recommend the orange handle because I had mine out in the woods layed it down took awhile to find it

Rapid Axe

I bought one of the official 1 of 50 first runs. Once it came, I was pleasantly surprised with the size, weight, and overall functionality of it. I actually purchased 2 more (1 for each of my 2 hunting rigs* each get bag gets duplicated and left at 2nd home/hunt camp) . The 3rd will be keep in a safe for a future generation-unless of course it has to get used. Definitely worth the money over the big box store offerings. Now I'm hopeful they re-release their Camp Chef-Base Camp Series- That looks like another great option.
