Trailblazer | TB1 - Bowie Knife

The Trailblazer TB1 is a full-size bowie knife and the biggest blade Rapid River Knifeworks has ever made. The bowie is the original American frontier knife. It wasn't designed for one task. It was designed for every task. The clip point blade gives you a sharp, controllable tip for piercing and detail work while the long, heavy edge handles chopping, slicing, and batoning that would destroy a standard hunting knife. Camp defense, clearing trail, splitting kindling, processing big game, batoning firewood, quartering elk. The bowie was built for the man who goes deep into the backcountry and comes back on his own terms. If you're the kind of hunter who packs into wilderness where the truck is a two-day walk and every tool needs to earn its weight, the TB1 is the one blade that does the work of three.

D2 tool steel, hardened to 58-60 HRC. D2 holds its edge through the kind of heavy, sustained use a bowie demands without chipping or rolling under impact. Blade length is 10 inches with an overall knife length of 15 3/8 inches. Blade thickness is .25 inches, built to absorb hard strikes, heavy chopping, and batoning without flexing. Classic clip point profile gives you a versatile blade geometry that pierces, slices, and chops. Handle length is 5 3/8 inches. Full tang construction running the entire length for maximum strength under repeated hard use.

G-10 composite handle available in OD Green, Coyote Tan, and Hunter Orange. G-10 won't crack, warp, or swell under moisture, extreme temperatures, or repeated impact. The textured surface locks into your hand during heavy chopping and wet field work. The 5 3/8 inch handle provides room for a full grip with enough length to choke up for detail work or extend out for maximum chopping leverage. Hand assembled in Rapid River, Michigan.
