    250th Anniversary Knife Breakdown

    Who's this knife for?

This is the 250th Anniversary Limited Edition, built to commemorate 250 years of American independence, 1776 to 2026. A true collector's piece, limited to a one-time run of 50 knives. Never to be made again. Built on our Royal 7 platform and custom crafted in our Michigan shop for this release, with the same hands and the same standards that go into every Rapid River blade, dressed for the most American milestone of our lifetime. Each blade is custom engraved with the USA 250th anniversary mark and hand serial numbered in the order it's purchased. Number 01 of 50 goes to the first patriot in line. When they're gone, they're gone for another 250 years.

    Blade specs and steel

D2 tool steel, hardened to 58-60 HRC, the same hard-use steel we trust in our working knives, because a commemorative piece should still be built like it means it. Blade length is 4 1/8 inches with an overall length of 8 1/8 inches and a blade thickness of .175 inches. Full tang construction, ground and finished by hand. The blade face carries the commemorative engraving: Rapid River Knifeworks, 1776-2026, USA 250 Limited Edition, and your individual serial number.

    Handle material and grip

Red, white, and blue acrylic, swirled like a flag in the wind. No two handles pour the same, which means no two knives in this run are identical. Your serial number isn't the only thing that makes yours one of a kind. Finished with two solid brass pins over full tang construction.

    What's in the box?

Your serial numbered 250th Anniversary knife. A fitted leather sheath with a built-in earth magnet that locks the blade in place. A custom engraved commemorative knife stand, so this piece spends its life on display, not in a drawer. And care instructions to keep it looking like the day it left the shop.

    Care and maintenance

RRK knives are built for hard use in the field, shop, kitchen, and everyday carry. To keep your knife performing at its best, proper care and routine maintenance are recommended.

After each use, hand wash the knife with soap and warm water, then dry it completely. Do NOT place your knife in the dishwasher. Apply a light coat of food-safe mineral oil or knife-specific blade oil after cleaning to help protect the blade and maintain the finish, especially for knives used in the kitchen or around moisture and acidic foods.

Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, saltwater, blood, or acidic materials, and never leave the knife stored wet or dirty. For long-term storage, keep the knife in a cool, dry location and avoid storing it inside a leather sheath for extended periods.

To maintain the edge, use a leather strop or carbide sharpener between full sharpenings. Avoid power grinders or excessive heat during sharpening, as overheating can damage the blade’s heat treatment and edge retention.

Rapid River Knifeworks offers free sharpening and polishing for the life of every RRK knife. Simply ship the knife in and the team will restore the factory edge and finish. Customer is responsible for return shipping.

    Shipping and delivery

No charge, no expiration, no questions. We built it, we stand behind it. The only thing you cover is return shipping. That's not a limited warranty with fine print. PERSONALIZE YOUR KNIFE Custom Laser Engraving

Make it yours. We offer in-house custom laser engraving on any blade. Add a name, a date, a logo, a company brand, a memorial, an anniversary, or anything that makes this knife mean something beyond the edge. Engraved knives make standout corporate gifts, retirement awards, groomsmen presents, and milestone keepsakes. If it matters enough to put on a blade, we'll put it on a blade.
